Long back in November, Yahoo decided to shake me off by closing its Yahoo photos. I had stored so many photos in it, ranging from my experiments to my portraits! It left me with few options to transfer my photos, and being the bright net addict and knowledgeable that I am, I chose flickr.

Since then, I had loaded and loaded more into it, using the mass uploader option of flickr.com. Initially I was having hard time, knowing about sets, collections, and groups, but slowly as any hardworker conquering and completing its assigned task, I mastered them (er.. did I… yet??!!).

Then came the catch! I was notified that what I was experiencing over the weeks were just a trial version of the paid version of flickr which was about to expire in few days! And I was not about to pay hundreds just to show case my photos. I was not an official photographer!

The limited version created a hell lot of probs, one of which was the archive!!! They archive automatically the older photos and I was not able to see or edit retrieve it back!! What the hell was it! They were like capturing my precious photos in a deceitful way and asking ransom now to give it back!??? They should have mentioned it, rather Yahoo should have mentioned all these details when they help out their customers in transferring the photos to other third party agents!!!

I have stopped using it, and I am transferring my photos to other places (as of now its picasaweb.. don’t know when its going to deceive me now! ) slowly, and trying to recover the old ones from the archive of flickr!!! Phew man! what a task!!!

It was over 7.45pm. The last bus to my home will start within 15 minutes. I swiftly closed all windows, logged off my machine, and closed my drawer. Taking the bag onto my shoulder, I moved out of my desk, walking towards the corridor swiping out my id card. At the corridor, he joined me, with a blank face. He too maybe going home, in his bike.

It was over 5.30pm. The first bus was at 6.30pm. The new mail notification was smiling at me at the system tray. It was the mail from him.
“Hello, when leaving?”
“Not decided. What about you?”
“Not much work today. I may leave by 6.30”
“Hmm..Ok, catch a seat for me too”.. “if possible..”
“If possible huh??? I will think about it..”
“Keep thinking.. But inform me before the bus goes.. , I wonder what is there to think!!”
“Like whether I need to bear your chitchat whole while in bus n all…”
“..What!!…”
“..hehe…”
“……”
“…”

Experiencing writer’s block. When people have nothing to write about, some gain knowledge, and some others enjoys doing time pass. I am doing the latter now, by taking along a tag!

After a long time fram gap, I am back with the internet tidbits.

1.Blackle was hitting the news a little while ago. And one of my colleague even shifted to Blackle instead of Google for searches. But I did wonder how it saved energy. Found an article cum discussion on does it really do or not??

2. Random objects/links/articles at smorgasborg. Got this link as email forward and the article regarding the invention of C++ lured me into the main site.

3. Top 100 webware sites. Just got a bunch of handy commonly used websites in one page..So bookmarked for now. Who knows, I may try them out, sometime in future…

4. Real Simple. There are enormous list of sites which can help you live life, make the most out of it, or even live a happy simple life. I guess this is just one of them. There maybe many more.

5. By the way, did I mention about the live science website where you can get to know more about the facts and discussions of life science?

Why??

I started this site long back in 2005,, when I was too much immersed in the adventures of internet. For me, It was then a trial run of gathering knowledge regarding blogging, hosting, domain names, designing, gaining more site views etc rather than posting content. Over the years and months, I realized blogging is much more and in itself is a world of its own. You get to sew a world with the unknown blogger pals, and commentators, and the passer-by.

I started writing about some personal thoughts and happenings of life. As I got more interested in the online world, some tutorials, and links were being shared, with the infrequent bursts of shayariand senti posts here and there. I was just posting one or two, or rarely, as I didn’t get to think much and did not give much importance to jotting down the thoughts. By 2006 mid year, I got ample time to rant about all the trivial things in my life, May 2007 being the month in which posted maximum. I kept changing the themes to keep alive the designing interest in me, and also tried again at the online link love part too. And now, I am even trying out the ad sense which is, you can call as, the second generation of my blog!!!

The idea of writing about the journey of blogging came from About-meme tag, and was wondering myself what others think of my blog.
